After his birth, Pegasus flew to Mount Olympus where he placed himself at the disposal of Zeus, to whom he brought thunderbolts. The hero Bellerophon was given Pegasus by either Athena or Poseidon; with his help, Bellerophon killed the fire-breathing Chimaera and defeated the Amazons. After Bellerophon's death, Pegasus returned to the gods. Eventually, Pegasus was changed into a constellation.

This bronze Pegasus is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.

He is mounted on a marble base.
