An elegant kylix (drinking vessel) with elongated handles, the bowl decorated with a sinuous pattern of octopus legs radiating from the centre.

In antiquity the octopus, a flexible and intelligent creature related to the psyche, emotion and intuition. The Minoans depicted the octopus in their pottery, jewellery and frescoes, and were clearly intrigued by this silent, graceful, sinuous creature.

It is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
