The olive was the symbol of Athena, goddess of wisdom and intelligence and the patron goddess of Athens, to whom she gave the olive as her gift to the city.
This olive sprig is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique. It is mounted on a marble base.
