A patera was a shallow dish, either used in everyday living, or as a libation dish for pouring offerings to the gods.

The underside with a band of 5 frolicking satyrs, worshippers of Dionysos, separated by vine motifs.

This bronze patera is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
