Based on the tetradrachm coins that were minted during Philip of Macedon's reign, this paperweight features an image of a wreathed Zeus on the obverse and a depiction of Philip riding a horse on the reverse. Philip, the father of Alexander the Great, was an expert in military strategy, reforming the Macedonian kingdom during his reign, even securing a personal victory in the Olympic games.
This coin paperweight is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring.
