A phiale was used for pouring libations. It was usually a shallow 'dish' shape like this. Our bronzesmith has added a handle so it has extra character! The tondo itself is undecorated, but the base is decorated with seven motifs of a horse and rider in the geometric style.
This is cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
