Symbol of energy, vitality, long life and fertility. The elegant ibex, also known as the "Kri-Kri", is the bearded, wild - and shy! - goat of Crete with thick, curved, ridged horns. This stylised bronze piece is decorated in the geometric style. In Greek mythology, Zeus was reared on Crete by the goat Amalthea whom he then, in gratitude for its care, turned into the constellation Capricorn.
This bronze ibex is cast for us, in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
