The papyrus motif is a frequent one in Minoan art, appearing on pottery and on frescoes. Given the proximity of Crete to Egypt, it is not surprising.
This collection of Minoan pottery is made in Greece. The vases themselves are manufactured in Greece, the images transferred and painted by hand. The texture, colouring and final finish is as close to that of the original as possible.
