The Cyclades are a group of around 30 islands in the Aegean sea, including Naxos and Paros, famous in antiquity for their marble. Cycladic figurines were carved from this marble during the third and second millennia BC, and are among the earliest representations of the human form in western art.
These abstract figures and faces have enormous appeal, due to their simple and evocative form, and their timeless, almost contemporary quality. They have inspired numerous artists, such as Picasso, Modigliani and Moore.
Our collection of silver Cycladic jewellery is made in Greece. Please note that chains are not supplied with the pendants.
